  • The Technovation Girls Get Started Challenge is a competition that encourages girls to spearhead change with the help of technology in their communities to solve various problems.

  • Coding Lab invites female students aged 8-18 who have completed the coding pre-requisites to join us for a super-charged training programme from brainstorming ideas to training AI models and creating projects which are ready for use in the real world!

  • In case you do not have previous experience with AI modeling or software development, fret not as our training camp will take your child through various advanced features and capabilities across different platforms to increase their repertoire of coding skills!

Technovation 2025 Competition Training Package

Training Programme

    • Boost your DSA portfolio with international competition exposure, and gain confidence in your presentation and interviewing skills for your DSA interviews!

    • Create and reiterate minimum value products, (a valuable must-have skillset for start-ups and deployment!)

    • Learn about the synergies between entrepreneurship, coding and technology

    • Research and application of the design thinking process

    • Create projects that inspire change locally and globally

    • Full support from Coding Lab tutors through our training camps and weekly coaching sessions

    • For Ages 8-18

    • January to April 2025

    • 12 sessions x 2 hours

    Beginner Division (Ages 8-12)

    • Parkway Parade: Tuesdays 3-5pm (21 Jan to 22 Apr)

    • KAP Mall: Thursdays 3-5pm (16 Jan to 24 Apr)

    Junior Division (Ages 13-15) and Senior Division (Ages 16-18)

    • KAP Mall: Wednesdays 5-7pm (22 Jan to 23 Apr)

    • Parkway Parade: Thursdays 5-7pm (16 Jan to 24 Apr)

    • Online: Sundays 11:15am-1:15pm (19 Jan to 27 Apr)

    Class timings and/or slots are subject to change based on the number of students signing up. Coding Lab may remove timeslots/transfer students to a different timeslot if there are not enough students for a particular time slot.

  • Age 8 - 18 years old as of August 1, 2025

    • Beginner Division: Girls aged 8-12

    • Junior Division: Girls aged 13-15 

    • Senior Division: Girls aged 16-18 

    Grouping will be based on the student's age and strengths to foster group synergy. No more than 5 girls are allowed to join a team. Students can only join 1 team.

FAQs

  • We require our students to meet certain prerequisites in coding experience based on our Coding Lab curriculum. As such, we will only accept Coding Lab students.

  • Regardless of previous competition experience, we highly recommend all female students at Coding Lab to sign up and try out for this competition since our highly experienced and passionate tutors will be able to take your child through this competition, and the students will also be working in teams to harness their unique synergy as a group.

  • The timeline for submissions are as follows:

    • October 11th, 2024: Registration Opens for students and mentors

    • January 27th, 2025: 14 Weeks to Submission Deadline

    • March 17th, 2024: Registration closes

    • May 5th, 2025: Submission Deadline

    • May - July 2025: Judging Period

    • October 2025: World Summit for Winners

  • If your child is female, between the ages of 8 and 18 and has completed the following coding pre-requisites, she is eligible to participate in the competition.

    Prior experience in coding required:

  • Yes, of course she can! Our training camp is specially designed such that any student of varying exposure to AI and entrepreneurship can participate. There will be something new for everyone to learn.

  • Students can register their interest first with Coding Lab and the teaching team will help to assist with the groupings of the students based on their age and skill sets (e.g. presentation, designing and coding).

    Students need to be of ages 8 - 18 years old as of August 1, 2025 and teams are composed of 1 to 5 girls. No more than 5 girls are allowed to join a team and students can only join 1 team.
