Fun Techtivities in December!

In the midst of the holidays, we are all up for some fun activities. Why not try out some #Techtivities where we can have fun with friends and family while learning about the possibilities of technology at the same time? 😉

Starting with some #TechNews, they are not quite Wall-E 🤖, but Weston Robots has created a fully autonomous, solar-powered robot to clean Singapore's waterways!

Unveiled at the CleanEnviro Summit, this robot uses AI to detect rubbish in the water, and can scoop up to 50kg of trash from rivers and canals 🏞️ at one go! This robot joins other innovative projects like pest-inspecting 🪲 and pavement-sweeping 🧹 robots that aim to transform jobs, enhance safety, and promote efficiency in Singapore. To wrap up our #TechtivitiesOfTheMonth, here is a fun #TechFact!

Did you know that E-readers use electronic paper displays which look just like ink on paper, and don't emit light like smartphones? (Source)

There are different methods of creating electronic paper displays. As they reflect light, not emit light, these displays can be read just as easily in harsh sunlight, just like ordinary ink on paper!
