Fun Techtivities in July!

We may be back in school, or amid the holidays for some of us. No matter what we are doing, we always need a break, so here are some #Techtivities for you to go to with your friends and family to have fun while learning about technology at the same time! 😉

Starting with some #TechNews, have you ever heard of 3D printing 🖨️? Soon, we might get 3D-printed fish 🐟 on our plates!

Based in Singapore, Umami Meats cultivates grouper stem cells 🧫 into muscle and fat. Steakholder Foods, based in Israel, uses this to create a 'bio-ink' to 3D-print a fish fillet! When fried and seasoned 🍳🧂, the meat does not differ greatly from traditional fish. Umami Meats hopes to be able to bring these products to Singapore 🇸🇬 as early as next year. Read more here!

Now that we’re all set, keep scrolling on to discover techtivities that you and your family can indulge in this month! ✨

Olafur Eliasson: Your Curious Journey

Can you make the ungraspable tangible? You can at the Olafur Eliasson: Your Curious Journey exhibition! Featuring the Icelandic-Danish artist, Olafur Eliasson, view his artworks that touch on embodiment, experience, perception, as well as the urgency of climate action and more-than-human perspectives.

Enter this exhibition to conjure evanescent phenomena – shimmering rainbows, swirling mists, the split-second sculptural form of a spouting fountain – or make invisible elements of our surroundings like air or magnetic fields experienceable. 😲

What tech is here? 🤔

🧑‍💻At Symbiotic Seeing, see swirling ripples above you that come from the effects of coloured laser lights coalescing with periodically released fog and be hypnotised by the effects which resembled the three states of matter! 🔦
