#CodingLabStudents: Aidan Sin, 12, Platinum Award Winner, HCIC 2022
We love seeing our students shine and grow as they develop their coding skills and discover how they can find success through coding! Meet one of them today: our student Aidan Sin, age 12, who won the Platinum Award (the highest honour) at the Hwa Chong Infocomm Challenge (HCIC) 2022!
Aidan found his passion and confidence for programming at Coding Lab, and has recently completed our advanced S100 Python Classes during the holidays! He particularly enjoys integrating his knowledge of mathematics in his coding projects, and has shared with the Coding Lab Team about his fascination with the limitless possibilities that coding provides! Wan Yu Hang Wesley, 11, Singapore | Advanced Computer Scientists Project Showcase | ICS 2022
Wan Yu Hang Wesley, 11, presents his Python coding project ‘YouTube Simulator’ for Coding Lab’s International Coding Showcase 2022.
"This project is inspired by Rotube Life on Roblox. The YouTube Simulator game is a simulated experience that allows players to take on the role of a popular YouTube creator. Players have the ability to create videos, upgrade skills, use the computer to keep a social media following and manage their subscriber base. The game requires strategic planning to succeed." - Wan Yu Hang Wesley

Xavion Mirchandani, 11, Singapore | Advanced Computer Scientists Project Showcase | ICS 2022
Xavion Mirchandani, 11, presents his Python coding project ‘EncryptionX’ for Coding Lab’s International Coding Showcase 2022.
"Encryption X is a simple multifunctional encryption software that doubles as a text software. It encrypts by first reversing the text provided, then putting 3 random characters every two characters, and lastly ASCII shifts to a key that is randomly generated or manually put in depending on whether you are using key-mode or auto-mode. The encryption software supports opening files that use UTF-8 encoding. It supports .txt, .rtf, and file types like this. It can also save into these file types." - Xavion Mirchandani

Lau Rei Yan Abigail, 12, Singapore | Advanced Computer Scientists Project Showcase | ICS 2022
Lau Rei Yan Abigail, 12, presents her Python coding project ‘Scissors Paper Stone’ for Coding Lab’s International Coding Showcase 2022.
"My project was based on a game that I like to play with my friends --- ‘Scissors, Paper, Stone’. I was inspired to create this game as I wanted to put a fresh twist to this traditional game played by children from many generations. Many of such games are lost in the midst of online games. I hope by designing this game, more young people would be introduced to this game and would pick it up again and enjoy this as much as I have! " - Lau Rei Yan Abigail

Aang Winston Angkasa, 11, Singapore | Advanced Computer Scientists Project Showcase | ICS 2022
Aang Winston Angkasa, 11, presents his Python coding project ‘Sleep Tracker v2.1’ for Coding Lab’s International Coding Showcase 2022.
"Sleep Tracker v2.1 can record and give feedback about the user's sleep throughout 7 days. It can also warn the user if he is over sleeping or not sleeping enough. The sleep tracker can also plot tables and bar graphs based on the data the user input." - Aang Winston Angkasa

#CodingLabStudents: Wang Jun Min, 13, NUS High School of Math and Science
Meet Jun Min, our avid coder and Secondary One student currently studying in his dream school, NUS High School of Math and Science, which he entered through Direct School Admission (DSA). As one of Coding Lab's earlier students (he started when he was barely 7 years old), we catch up with him since his previous blog feature.
You may also recognise him when he won 2nd Place in our International Coding Showcase 2020 Ages 10-12 (Scratch) category and 3rd Place in our Young Coders' Global Hackathon 2020 in the Junior Category (Ages 7-12). Watch 11-year-old Ankit Maharana's Take A Break app, which he coded with Python to remind users to take breaks from using computers. This project won him a Distinction and Judges' Choice (Best Presentation) in the International Coding Showcase 2021.

#CodingLabStudents: Kyran Tan, 12, Queenstown Primary School
Meet 12-year-old Kyran Tan who won 1st Place (Python for Ages 10-12) at the International Coding Showcase 2020 (JP-SG) and also clinched Distinction (Electives for Ages 13 to 18) at the International Coding Showcase 2021 (JP-SG). YCGH Student Feature: Kieran Ho, 12, (Merit) Most Promising Young Coder
Hear from 12-year-old Kieran, who coded a Covid-19 Daily Bulletin. This amazing Python program makes use of real-time news from credible Singaporean and Japanese news sources. This project won him Most Promising Young Coder in the Young Coders' Global Hackathon 2020.
ICS Student Feature: Victoria Hammonds, 10, Merit Award
Watch 10-year-old Victoria talk about her Python Turtle drawing game. Her exciting project allows users to use their creativity to draw different shapes with various pen thickness and colours. This project won her the Merit Award in the International Coding Showcase 2020.
ICS Student Feature: Isaac Khong, 10, (Judges’ Choices) Social Impact Award
Watch 10-year-old Isaac presenting his budgeting project. Combining Math and Python programming, it helps one to plan their expenses and generates graphs to help one budget. This impressive project won him Social Impact Award in the International Coding Showcase 2020.

Watch 11-year-old Keian eloquently present his very own Python project, which uses Python Turtle. It aims to encourage people to bring out their creative side and draw anything that they want. This project won him 2nd Place (Python) in the International Coding Showcase 2020.

Watch 10-year-old Kyran’s Clockc program that was skillfully coded with Python. The timer, alarm, work and rest, countdown and stopwatch functions help one's everyday life! This project won him 1st Place (Python) in the International Coding Showcase 2020.
