#CodingLabStudents Shine with 5 Platinum Awards at HCIC 2024
At Coding Lab, our students' futures are always our top priority. That's why each year, we patiently hold off announcing their Hwa Chong Infocomm Challenge (HCIC) results until their Direct School Admission (DSA) offers are confirmed. This way, we ensure that they can focus on securing placements at top schools.
Now that everything is settled, we are absolutely thrilled to share that many of our talented students have successfully gained admission into prestigious schools such as SST, RVHS, Cedar Girls, RGS, HCI, DHS, Pei Hwa Sec, Woodgrove Sec, Riverside Sec, Bukit View Sec, and more! 🏫🎉
A huge round of applause to our exceptional 2024 batch of students for their fantastic performance at this years HCIC! 🏆 This year, our students made us proud by taking home an impressive 18 awards, including 5 Platinum Awards (given to the top 1.5% of participants!), 2 of which were earned by girls. Talk about #girlpower!
Along with these outstanding achievements, many others received Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards, showcasing our students' immense talent and hard work. 🥇🥈🥉

No stranger to the HCIC, Coding Lab has led the way since 2019, when our student emerged as champion. Since then, our students have been topping the charts for consecutive years, a testament to their strength of character, passion in computer science, and talent.

About the HCIC
The Hwa Chong Info-communications Challenge (HCIC) is an annual competition to kindle the flames of interest among primary school students within the realm of info-communications. It serves a dual purpose of not only fostering curiosity but also spotlighting prodigious talents in the spheres of programming, coding, and robotics. The year 2023 saw the competition unfold in May, with participants hailing from Singapore’s Primary 6 segment as well as overseas centers’ equivalent of Primary 5 or 6 students.
